The Peak of Shanghai: Celestial Concert
/
Shanghai Tower, located in the heart of the Lujiazui Financial District in Pudong, Shanghai, is a colossal skyscraper and is celebrated as the "The Peak of Shanghai." It stands as the second tallest building in the world and the tallest in China. The J Hotel on the 105th floor of Shanghai Tower was just the grand venue for the opening leg of Michel Dalberto and the Magic Finger pianists' national tour.
On the evening of October 29 at 6:30 PM, the national tour commenced as Michel’s fingers brought Beethoven’s enchanting "Moonlight Sonata" to life. From a breathtaking height of 488 meters , this event set a new record for the highest indoor concert ever held in China. Through the grand floor-to-ceiling windows, the dazzling beauty of Shanghai unfolded like a river of stars. As twilight settled, the majestic expanse of the Yangtze River merging with the sea was visible in the distance. Outside, the skyscrapers along the Huangpu River appeared as delicate models on the city’s horizon, while the elegant and joyful piano tune created an unparalleled sensory experience for every guest.
The concert was graced by many distinguished guests, including badminton world champion Mr. Gong Weijie and Li Qi, the winner of the second season of "The Voice of China." Both offered high praise for the concert. Additionally, Founder Principal Liu Jian was honored with the title of "Cultural Ambassador of J Hotel Shanghai Center," awarded by J Hotel.
Impressions of Dragon City: Monet’s Garden FEEL
/
The second stop of the tour is set in Changzhou, renowned as the “Jiangnan Pearl” and also known as “Dragon City”. Located in the heart of the Yangtze River Delta, Changzhou is a prominent center for advanced manufacturing and cultural tourism, boasting a history of over 3,200 years.
The Changzhou Changchai Campus is the inaugural location for Liu Jian Arts, marking the birthplace of our dreams. The concert was held in the Chopin Hall, where a professional event company meticulously arranged the setting: the pure white, minimalist backdrop of the musical score wall exuded elegance, while vibrant green ivy climbed over the piano. The scene was further adorned with dreamy violet and blooming champagne-colored roses, creating a romantic atmosphere rich in artistic ambiance, reminiscent of Monet's garden. The hall was filled to capacity, with an enthusiastic atmosphere. The superb performances by top French pianists and China's virtuoso pianists delivered a breathtaking auditory and visual feast for the audience in this Dragon City.
Renowned across the Capital: A Century-Old Model Bookstore
/
In late autumn, with Beijing’s red leaves painting a picturesque scene, Michel’s national tour with the Chinese Magic Finger reaches its third stop at the Model Bookstore - Poem Space, renowned as the most beautiful bookstore in Beijing.
The Model Bookstore - Poem Space is the nation’s sole bookstore within a former church, originally the Zhonghua Anglican Church built in 1907 during the Qing Dynasty. This historic edifice, weathered by a century of change, stands as a defining symbol of enduring legacy. Here, we connect culture through music, exploring the profound dialogue between Eastern and Western traditions in the intersection of history and contemporary life.
At the Beijing stop, alongside the mesmerizing music played by Michel and Tang Juechen from China Magic Finger, we were also delighted by a special guest—— the distinguished foreign artist Okun Aleksander, from Liu Jian Art. Among the evening’s distinguished guests , we were privileged to be joined by the legendary Chinese pianist, Master Shi Shucheng. His presence allowed us to collectively immerse ourselves in the limitless charm of piano artistry.
Melodies of Pengcheng· Romanticism in Artron
/
Shenzhen, also known as "Pengcheng," stands as one of China’s pioneering Special Economic Zones, a remarkable symbol of the nation's reform and opening-up era. Renowned for its breathtaking "Shenzhen speed," this city has not only witnessed a meteoric rise but also a cultural renaissance. In 2004, Shenzhen set forth on its journey to become a "City of Piano," and nearly two decades later, it has flourished, with the piano becoming a staple in homes and international piano competitions thriving.
The concert on November 11th marks the grand finale of Michel's national tour with pianists from China Magic Finger, and the choice of Shenzhen Artron Art Center for this concluding performance is profoundly symbolic. As a cultural landmark in Shenzhen, the Artron Art Center is the city's premier venue for high-quality, specialized, and multi-functional art exhibitions. It also stands as the world’s largest, most comprehensive, and expert art book center. Notably, the piano megastar Lang Lang has previously graced this prestigious venue with his performances.
That evening's concert embraced a "romantic candlelight" theme. When Debussy's "Clair de Lune" filled the air, the world seemed to pause, as if moonlight itself was gently cascading over the audience. The minimalist, lofty stage exuded dignity, adorned with flickering candlelight that danced with grace. Accompanied by the pianists’ ethereal strains, the ambiance conjured images of a serene river, flowing quietly yet ceaselessly through the night...
